Course Descriptions

Expert/Competitive Course

There’s a cash payout, so you’ll have to earn your wage.  Racers will face everything the sport racers did, but will get to do the top 2 stages of the 3 stage climb, along with a downhill run on the revived “sidewinder”, and a bonus climb up the famed “Punisher” which has come out of retirement. There will be added technical features on course to test your skill, with a few minor changes to some sections of trail.

This course is 8 km long with 110 meters of climbing per lap.

This race will be 3 laps long, with an anticipated 25 min lap for the front runners.

Expert Division Prizes

First Place:  $100
Second Place:  $75
Third Place:  $40

Sport Course

The race starts with a short climb to break up the field, and a quick down hill to some single track. This will consist of the first section the kids will be riding (see below).  Once out, the first added section climbs the side of the hill facing EC Row Expressway, leading you to the top of the 3 stage hill. You’ll get a long downhill back to the more single track that the kids were in.  Another short climb takes you to the “Chute”, and a downhill run to the “hospital section” of single track. On the way back to the finish line, you get some double track and a little climb to get you home.

This will be a 3 lap race.

Kids Course

This course is as flat as possible.  It consists of 2 sections of single track with a short section of road connecting them. The trail zigzags through the woods with minor bumps (small roots ) to contend with.  This is all easy to ride.  There are 3 obstacles to ride on course.  Stronger riders should be able to ride them, however, there will be ample support at these sections to help those who can’t ride them, to get through.  2.4 km loop.

As many laps as you can do in 40 mins.
