Join us for the Race for Plunkett
On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, York Regional Police will host their annual Race for Plunkett in support of Special Olympics Ontario, at the Riverwalk Commons in the Town of Newmarket. This event includes a 5 KM walk/run and a 10 KM run, along the beautiful Tom Taylor Trail.
After registration, all participants are welcome to meet Special Olympic athletes, visit York Regional Police displays and various booths from local sponsors. All registered participants will receive a race kit which will include a dry-fit torch run t-shirt and a chip-timed bib number.
This event raises awareness and much needed funds for Special Olympics. This non-profit organization provides quality sports and training programs for over 26,000 children, youth and adults with an intellectual disability across the province, that are only possible through the generous donations that are raised at events such as the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
