JOIN US FOR THE RACE FOR PLUNKETT
On Wednesday May 23, 2018, York Regional Police will be hosting their annual Race for Plunkett in support of Special Olympics Ontario at the Riverwalk Commons in the Town of Newmarket. This event includes a 5km walk/run and a 10km run, along the beautiful Tom Taylor Trail to allow participants to show their support for Special Olympics Ontario.
After registration, all participants are welcome to meet Special Olympic athletes, visit York Regional Police displays and various booths from local sponsors. All registered participants will receive a race kit which will include a dry-fit torch run t-shirt and a chip-timed bib number.
This event raises awareness and funds for Special Olympics athletes. This non-profit organization helps provide quality sports and training programs for children, youth and adults with an intellectual disability that are only possible through the generous donations that are raised at events such as the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
